Italian brand Piaggio is planning to launch an all new 160cc maxi-scooter in Indian early next year. The scooter is in its final stages of development and will be launched under Aprilia.
This upcoming scooter has been developed in Italy, with input from the Indian engineers. The overall styling, feature selections and the chassis work has been done by the Italian engineers. The styling work has been done keeping the Indian consumers in mind.
The scooter will be powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder engine of the SR 150. But, it will be tuned a bit differently and will be BS-VI ready. The bike will get separate identity a 160cc scooter as the tag of 155cc scooter is already taken by the SR 150 and the Vespas.
