With the arrival of a half-faired Pulsar 180- Pulsar 180 F, the naked 180 cc pulsar motorcycle has been discontinued. The bike will be on sale until the stocks last. According to our sources, the Pulsar 180 has been seeing lesser buyers compared to the Pulsar 150.
The Pulsar 180 F is a half-faired design similar to its elder sibling, the Pulsar 220F. The bike is available in two colour options; black with red accents and grey with orange accents. Apart from the addition of the front fairing, the motorcycle remains the same as the Pulsar 180. It continues to get power from a 178cc, air-cooled, engine that generates 17bhp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm at 6,500rpm. The motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
What is remained to be seen is, the Bajaj Pulsar 180F with ABS. As the safety norm in India mandates the inclusion of ABS in over-125cc two-wheelers produced from 1 April, Bajaj will most probably launch the bike with a single-channel ABS very soon.
The Bajaj Pulsar 180F retails at INR 86,490 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). And the inclusion of ABS will increase the price in the range of INR 6,000 to INR 8,000.
