With the launch date coming nearer, the Hero XPulse 200 was just spotted testing in India. This is not the first time that Hero MotoCorp has introduced an adventure-tourer. Long ago, the Indian company had first entered into the adventure-tourer segment with the Impulse. The Impulse, however, was discontinued because of its low sale.
The XPulse 200 gets power from the same motor that powers the Xtreme 200R. The 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor produces 18.7PS of power and 17.1Nm of torque. The engine is then mated to a five-speed gearbox. Since it is an off-road focused motorbike, it gets long travel suspensions - telescopic forks at the front with 190mm of travel and a monoshock at the rear with 170mm of travel. The XPulse 200 rides on a 21-inch wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear. Just like the Xtreme 200R, the XPulse 200 too will be equipped with a single-channel ABS.
Talking about other features, the XPulse 200 will feature LED lights at the front and rear, a digital speedometer, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation system.
In terms of its price, Hero hasn’t revealed it yet. But the bike is expected to cost somewhere between INR 1 to 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
