KTM 790 Duke is expected to launch soon in India and the dealers are already accepting the bookings for a varying token amount of Rs 20,000-Rs 50,000. 790 Duke is a middleweight naked motorcycle that is available in abroad and it will be brought in India via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route in a limited numbers.
The bike gets power from a 799cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that generates 105bhp of max power and 86Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and bi-directional quick shifter. Since the bike has a dry weight of mere 169kg, the KTM 790 Duke has a great power to weight ratio.
In terms of its electronic features, the bike comes lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, launch and wheelie control along with riding modes that include a ‘Supermoto mode’ similar to the current-gen 390 Duke.
Talking about the pricing, the bike is expected to cost somewhere between INR 8.5 to 8 lakhs. The bike will take on the likes of the Triumph Street Triple S, Street Triple RS and MT 09.
