TVS is all set to introduce the 2020 model of Apache RTR 200 4v with many changes, the most prominent change being the BS6-compliant engine. Similarly, the model will feature fuel-injected engine as standard, unlike the ongoing model which is available in both carburettor and fuel-injected engine.
Going by the leaked image, the 2020 model sports a new LED headlamp with the LED DRLs, which looks more aggressive than its predecessor. However, the other body panels appear to be same as those on the outgoing model. The fuel tank, the tail section and the belly pan look similar as well.
The fuel-injected motor is expected to produce a little over 20hp and 18Nm. We expect TVS to continue with the same suspension and brake setup as on the current Apache. That said, the bike is expected to feature dual-channel ABS as standard to comply with the safety norms in India.
Talking about other features, the 2020 Apache is expected to get an all-new instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The cluster on the Apache is expected to display turn-by-turn navigation and other information as well.
In terms of pricing, the motorcycle is expected to be launched at the premium of about INR 10,000 over the ongoing model.
